If flying in, shuttle to both the rental counter and car lot.
FASTBREAK RETURN: Follow the airport signs for Car Rental return. You do not need to return to the counter to complete your rental. Record your mileage and fuel level on the rental agreement and drop it in the Budget Fastbreak return box. A closed rental agreement will be mailed to you within 48 hours.
COUNTER: Follow signs to the baggage claim area. Board the tram across from baggage claim to the rental car facility which is about 1/2 mile away. The tram ride will take about 4 minutes. Exit the tram & proceed to the Budget counter.
Note – this office does not provide shuttle service to or from the pier.
CARS: Located at the rental car facility.
RETURNS: Return the vehicle to the rental car facility. Customer will take the tram back to the terminal.
When you arrive, go to the Budget counter in the baggage claim area. The manager or key person will have your contract ready and personally escort you to your vehicle.
Valet Return: If offered, you will be told about our service as you are escorted to your car.
NOTE: Some locations may have a key drop available:
Drop Box Available: If the customer chooses to leave the vehicle, the customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages or theft of the vehicle may have incurred during after hours) until the contract can be closed on the following business day.
Drop Box NOT Available: If the location does not have a key drop box, the location does not permit vehicles to be left after closing hours. The customer should never lock or leave the keys inside the car. The customer is responsible for the vehicle & all charges (including any damages to or theft of the vehicle and locksmith fees if they choose to lock the keys in the car). The customer can either choose to return the car the next day the location is open OR change the Drop Off Location to the nearest Regional Airport. Customer is responsible for all charges related to the drop-off modification.
Kahului Airport Car Rental Return
To return your rental car, follow the signs for Car Rental Return as you approach the airport. From there, you should be able to follow signs for the Budget lot to return your vehicle. After you check out, you can take a short tram ride to the airport.
